The IONIQ 5 marks the beginning of a new era of clean mobility for Hyundai. Blurring the line between digital and analogue, the new battery electric midsize SUV is the flagship model behind Hyundai’s new signature dedicated EV architecture. This is just a small taste of what’s to come in the new IONIQ range.
A new era in EV design.
Inside and out, IONIQ 5’s progressive design signals a departure from past norms, exploring a new design freedom made possible by the unique characteristics of a Battery Electric Vehicle platform.
Exterior design.
A redefinition of timeless design, IONIQ 5’s distinctive and innovative exterior form is characterised by clean, sharp lines and a sleek, retro-futuristic look. Its unique front end stands apart for its distinctive, pixel-like cluster of daytime running lights topped by Hyundai’s first, ultra-aerodynamic clamshell hood.

Interior design.
The ‘Living Space’ design theme runs throughout the interior, most visibly embodied by the modular dashboard with 12-inch infotainment screen and hoodless 12-inch digital gauge cluster, as well as the Universal Island – a moveable centre console that can slide back 140mm to allow more freedom of movement inside the cabin.

Aero-optimised wheels.
Fractal-patterned wheels echo the IONIQ 5’s Parametric Dynamics design theme. Offered in a super-sized 20-inch diameter – the largest rims ever fitted to a Hyundai EV – these high-precision alloys add the finishing touches to this cutting-edge mid-sized SUV.
