Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA).

If the car ahead of you is too close for comfort, FCA gives you a visual and audio warning, helping you avoid rear-end collisions. In some of our SUVs, FCA can sense pedestrians and cyclists travelling ahead and automatically apply the brakes if necessary.
Safety features vary depending on model, variant & transmission. Please check specifications or speak to your local Hyundai dealer.
Hyundai_Safetyfeaturesicon _smartsense_451x2851.png

Blind-Spot Detection (BSD).

When another vehicle is in your blind spot, BSD – with the help of radar sensors in your rear bumper – gives you an audio and visual warning, reminding you not to suddenly change lanes. Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist will also provide steering intervention if required.
Safety features vary depending on model, variant & transmission. Please check specifications or speak to your local Hyundai dealer.

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA).

If you begin to drift into another lane without activating your indicators, LKA detects lane markings and gives you an audio and visual warning. If necessary, it will also provide steering intervention to keep you in your lane.

Hyundai_Safetyfeaturesicon_HightbeamAssist_smartsense_451x285.png

High Beam Assist (HBA).

When you’re driving on unlit roads at night, HBA scans the road ahead for lights and automatically switches between high and low beam depending on what’s ahead.
Safety features vary depending on model, variant & transmission. Please check specifications or speak to your local Hyundai dealer.
Hyundai_Safetyfeaturesicon _smartsense_451x285.png

Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).

When you reverse out of a parking space, your rear sensors will monitor approaching traffic and give you an audio and visual warning if a vehicle is approaching.
Safety features vary depending on model, variant & transmission. Please check specifications or speak to your local Hyundai dealer.
Hyundai_Safetyfeaturesicon _smartcruise_450x284.png

Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go (SCC).

While regular cruise control keeps your vehicle at a set speed, SCC takes things further by monitoring the speed and distance of any vehicle ahead of you. If you get too close, it brakes to maintain a safer distance, before accelerating back up to your pre-set speed once it’s safe to do so.
Safety features vary depending on model, variant & transmission. Please check specifications or speak to your local Hyundai dealer.
Hyundai_Safetyfeaturesicon_DriverAttentionAlert_450x284.png

Driver Attention Alert (DAA).

Fatigue is one of the major causes of road accidents. DAA helps to detect signs of driver fatigue by using your vehicle’s mounted camera to analyse steering corrections and driving patterns. If the patterns are consistent with driver fatigue, it gives you an alert to advise you to take a break.
Safety features vary depending on model, variant & transmission. Please check specifications or speak to your local Hyundai dealer.
Hyundai_Safety_smartsense_RearOccupantAlert_450x284.png

Rear Occupant Alert & Rear Occupant Alert Advanced (ROA).

Upon opening the front door after parking, ROA will show a message in your supervision cluster to remind you to check the detected passengers in the back. When you leave and lock your vehicle, ROA advance uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect movement in your car to make sure no one – especially children – ever gets left inside. If movement is detected, it sounds your horn and flashes your headlights.
Safety features vary depending on model, variant & transmission. Please check specifications or speak to your local Hyundai dealer.
Hyundai_ Safety_smartsense_360image_450x284.png

Surround View Monitor (SVM).

If you have things like luggage blocking your rear-view, or if you are in a tight parking spot and can’t see everything around you, SVM is incredibly useful. It provides you with a 360-degree bird’s eye view of your surroundings via a front monitor.
Safety features vary depending on model, variant & transmission. Please check specifications or speak to your local Hyundai dealer.
Hyundai_Safetyfeaturesicon_safetyexitAssist_smartsense_450x284.png

Safety Exit Assist (SEA).

SEA uses the front and rear sensors to check for any approaching hazards – for example, an approaching vehicle or cyclist – and gives an alert that it may be dangerous to exit the vehicle. If you have children and have the doors on child safety lock, the SEA system intervenes and prevents the doors from being opened by them.
Safety features vary depending on model, variant & transmission. Please check specifications or speak to your local Hyundai dealer.
Hyundai_Safetyfeaturesicon_AdvancedSmartParkingAssist_smartsense_450x284.png

Advanced Smart Parking Assist System (ASPAS).

Thumbs up from the judges.

We do everything we can to make every car an absolute standout. And the motoring experts have recognised our efforts with a huge number of awards and accolades. Kona, Kona Electric and Santa Fe topped their categories at the 2020 Drive Car of the Year Awards. And those 3 are just the tip of a large, trophy collection that we’ve collected over the decades which prove why these SUVs ae the best family cars in the market.

FAQs

We’ve always tried to make our vehicles stand out for their award-winning combinations of quality, style, innovation, performance, safety and value. But when it comes to our SUVs, we’ve made extra-sure they have the kinds of specific features families tend to want – like spacious cabins with high rooflines, comfortable seating, clever storage, the best in safety, the latest in connectivity, and enjoyable driveability. But we’ve also put in a few more features they might not have known about but which they’ll find indispensable once they’ve got them.

The smart one-touch walk-in switch on the Santa Fe automatically collapses and slides the 2nd row seats so kids can get in and out of the 3rd row more easily – and you don’t have to lift more than a finger to make it happen.

Rear Occupant Alert on Santa Fe – a clever safety system using an ultrasonic sensor to detect back seat occupants ensures that no one ever gets left behind!

Apple CarPlayTM and AndroidTM Auto compatibility, which is a standard feature across our entire SUV range so you can safely access your phone’s hands-free features and control your music.

You can always add more family-friendly practicalities to your SUV with Hyundai Genuine Accessories. Keep your drinks chilled on any adventure with a portable cooler; with 15L capacity there’s room to keep your picnic sandwiches too. And if you have furry family members, you can play it sensible by accessorising your interior with a perfectly fitted, water-resistant and extra durable rear seat pet cover?

We could go on. But getting back to the original question: Are Hyundai SUVs good for families? Yes! They’re so good, in fact, that they were made for them.
